Vicar Dan James was born & raised in southern Minnesota (Austin). He is married to Edie. They have two children, one deceased, and two grandchildren. Vicar Dan retired from IBM after 35 years and he & Edie spent 15 years full time RVing before planting roots in Benson, AZ. They became a members of Peace in the Valley LCMS in 2008. Vicar James served as an Elder and a Head Elder before receiving the call to serve the Lord. He is currently enrolled in the Specific Ministry Pastor program with Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. Vicar James is serving a two year vicarage and then will be ordained as full time pastor in June 2015 at Peace in the Valley LCMS. Rev. Pacey is serving as Vicar James mentor.
Reverend Ian Stewart Pacey was born and raised in Orange County, California. He is married to Clarissa. They have two children. Rev. Pacey studied at UCLA (B.A., Political Science 1992), Concordia Theological Seminary (M. Div., Pastoral Theology 2000), and Drew University (M. Phil., Liturgical Studies 2004). He vicared at Montana State University (Bozeman, MT) and was ordained December 31, 2000 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Brooklyn, NY). Rev. Pacey serves as Campus Chaplain at the University of Arizona, Associate Pastor at Catalina Lutheran Church, Circuit Visitor for the Arizona South Circuit (English District), and as Assistant Campus Ministry Coordinator for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Rev. Pacey is serving as a vacancy pastor for PITV.
